The Philips BDP7506 is a top of the line Blu-ray player announced for release in April 2011 along with four other new models. It features a touch control screen like the second in line BDP5506 and a host of streaming options that may be used when connected to a TV.

These include NetFlix, Blockbuster, FilmFresh, VUDU, and, NetTV with a selection of over 4500 HD channels. vTuner internet radio is included as well, and for connecting to a PC, Philips' own MediaConnect technology allows wireless connection for streaming whatever is on your monitor to the big screen. The whole range features 1080p resolution at 24 frames per second and AVCHD playback for compatibility with a wide range of formats common to HD camcorders. To ensure compatibility with regular DVDs, the player will automatically upscale to 1080p and all feature 3D playback as advertised on the front panel.
