The Panasonic DMP-BD60 is a Profile 2.0 HD blu-ray player based on PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus high-image processing technology that reproduces clear, vivid, and realistic colors for an enhanced entertainment experience.

The first of three Panasonic DMP-BD players, the DMP-BD60 includes VIERA CAST technology that allows users to access the Internet without either an external box or PC, not to mention a VIERA Link that allows the user to operate their audio/video components through HDMI with just one remote.

In addition, the DMP-BD60 features a high definition audio decoder (Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio Essential), an SD Memory card slot and USB slot that makes it simple for users to view/share digital images and HD video, high precision 4:4:4 signal technology which works alongside the Chroma Processor Plus to process each horizontal/video signal, Pixel Precision Progressive Processing that optimizes more than 15 billion pixels per second, 16-level motion detection to categorize the image motion of each pixel, diagonal processing to detect and correct diagonals, and 1080p up-conversion to up-convert content recorded in 480i/p or 720p format to 1080p. The DMP-BD60 also boasts 96kHz surround re-master to enhance sound quality, a playback information window for displaying detailed image information, an Auto Power Stand-By function, a Stand-By Power Save function, and a Quick Start function. The Panasonic DMP-BD60 retails for 399.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
