Panasonic DMP-BD15

The Panasonic DMP-BD15 is the world's first portable Blu-Ray player. Although the superior video quality of 1080p movies may not be as apparent on the device's 8.9-inch WSVGA LCD screen, Panasonic is aiming more to satisfy those who wish to watch Blu-Ray content on the go.

In addition to Blu-Ray discs, the DMP-BD15 plays DVD, CD, CD-R/RW, and DivX content, as well as JPEG photos. It can also be used as a stand-alone Blu-Ray player when connected via HDMI to an HDTV. Although the included battery is rated at only 2.5 hours, the user can upgrade to a 6-hour battery, and a DC car adapter is included for prolonged use on the road. Finally, with a LAN internet connection, the unit provides access to Amazon Video-on-Demand, YouTube, and other services via VIERA CAST, as well as to BD Live.
