LG BD270
$250.00
Released July, 2009
The Pros:Setup is very easy, mostly just plug-and-play. Remote works well and is easy to read in dim light. Upscaling DVDs to 1080p is excellent, a big step-up from a standard DVD player.
The Cons:Doesn't have a digital optical connection, only digital coax. Prone to occasional lock-ups mid-movie. Doesn't have any Internet access features.
The LG BD270 is a standard Blu-Ray Disc player with an additional USB port for connecting digital media (music, videos, pictures) to the device. The player is capable of full HD 1080p performance from conventional Blu-Ray Discs and can also up-scale standard dvd image quality to a higher level with HDMI output.
